We don’t have enough space to tell you the whole HumanWeb story, but rest assured that we’ve been an amazing company for a long time. We’ve even outlasted most of our customers. Now that’s what we call staying power!

Founded in 1978 by our intrepid CEO, Tom Harper, HumanWeb was originally formed to provide high quality gerbil meat to most of Eastern Europe. Seeing that the gerbil meat market was on the decline, Tom Harper tapped into his genius and saw that selling fleet management products looked like a great place to make a buck. And boy, he was not wrong!

Fast forward a bunch of years (skip over the part when Les Walters forced Tom Harper out and nearly ran the company into the ground – much like what they did to Steve Jobs at Apple) and HumanWeb is now THE leader in fleet performance and trucker tracking technologies. Headquartered in San Diego, CA with satellite offices in Maui, Bora Bora, Ibiza, Aruba, and The Seychelles, HumanWeb is truly an international company with a bright past and brighter upcoming future that hasn’t happened yet.

Our founder and CEO, Tom Harper, hasn’t let it all go to his head, however. Recently named to “Executives to Keep a Close Eye On” by Fortune (Teller) Magazine in 1986, Harper has always believed philanthropy would be a good thing to focus on someday.
